The Greek word translated "wind" at the beginning of John 3:8 is pneumatos. It is the same word translated as "Spirit" at the end of the verse. This overlapping and parallel usage draws attention to the circumstances in which the physical wind in nature can serve as a metaphor for the transcendent ways of the Spirit.

Locating Venus
